Can I increase/decrease the Policy Limits? No, the Policy Limits cannot be changed.
What is the Period of Insurance? Each coverage section has its own period of insurance: - In the destination country: From the day you arrive at the destination country to the date you depart - In the country of residence: 60 days immediately following your departure from the destination country - Legal expenses: 12 months from the day you arrive at the destination country
Is there an excess? There is an excess of US$2,500 applicable to Section 3-Legal Expenses. You should note that the Policy also will not cover any claim for less than US$5,000 under this Section.
What is considered “complications” in the medical treatment? For the purpose of this Policy, “Complications” means any of the following: - Any adverse or unexpected result of the medical treatment that necessitates immediate additional medical treatment - Delayed recovery - Death during the medical treatment
What is considered “additional expenses”? For the purpose of this Policy, “additional expenses” means additional accommodation costs (including hospital or hotel), medical and travel costs that are reasonable and necessarily incurred by you as a result of complications arising from the medical treatment.
What is “medical malpractice”? For the purpose of this Policy, “medical malpractice” means any professional negligence by act, error or omission of a health care provider causing injury to you in the course of providing the medical treatment.

Can I buy more than one insurance policy? You can buy only one insurance plan for one trip/treatment. If you plan to make multiple trips/treatments, you should apply for each separately.
When is the best time to purchase cover? Can I purchase cover mid-way through my trip? You can purchase this insurance anytime before you start your journey, provided your travel and treatment plans are confirmed, but not after you commenced your journey.
Do I have to be medically fit to travel and to undergo the surgery? Yes, at the time of applying for insurance you will be required to declare that you are medically fit (1) to travel to the destination country for the purpose of having the medical treatment, and (2) to undergo the medical treatment.
Is the policy cancelable/refundable? No, the policy cannot be cancelled once it is taken up, and a refund is not available. So you have to be certain that your trip and treatment will proceed before you take up the insurance.
How do I know if this insurance is right for me? As this product is developed by Lockton Companies (Singapore) Pte Ltd (Lockton) to be marketed through an electronic media that is designed to solicit and close a sale, no advice will be provided by Lockton to you. However, you can seek advice from a qualified advisor before purchasing this insurance. How do I pay? Payment must be made online using any of the following credit cards: VISA, MasterCard.
Will I be given a policy document? Yes, after the payment is successfully concluded you will be able to print the Policy (including the Schedule). We will also email a copy of the Policy to your email address.
What if I lose the Policy or need to print another copy sometime later? You may re-print by providing your login and password in Member Access. This information is provided after your payment in a confirmation email.
How do I make a claim? After your payment is accepted you receive a login and password by email. You can log in Member Access and find all useful information to make a claim.
What supporting documents will be required if I want to make a claim? - A copy of original bills, receipts and/or invoices, reports, and any other supporting documentation pertaining to relevant expenses incurred during your treatment period - A Medical Practitioner’s summary of cost of any relevant treatment including medicine and service rendered (may be supplied by the respective hospital) - Any supporting reports or related documents provided by your Medical Practitioner and/or hospital which support your claim - A copy of death certificate, police report, diagnostic results, if applicable - A photocopy of the front page of your valid passport (photo and passport details) used during the period of travel
